Amazon is adding Born in a Treacherous Timeto their Prime Reading list. I’m heartened by #9 of the expert tips I posted about writing trilogies. What do you do when that happens in a story? For me, I might add a second trilogy. As I dig into the story, it has become clear some of the plotlines won’t wrap up in the timeframe of this story. It’s like looking at the story through a straw–narrowly, to ensure each piece makes sense, is relevant and leads to the next. I’ve spent this month tearing my story apart, phrase by phrase, paragraph by paragraph. I ended up going back into the story’s plot and adding a character. I had thought I was done with a read-through, to check for continuity and story, but when I moved on to wordsmithing, my dang muse wouldn’t stop nagging me.
